The official STOP THE BLEED ® Kit provides the lay responder with battlefield-tested tools to help control life-threatening traumatic blood loss. Our Department of Defense (DoD) licensed kits are expertly crafted, strictly following guidelines established by the American College of Surgeons.

The STOP THE BLEED® Kit by True Rescue® comes in three different variations: Standard, Intermediate, & Premium. Each kit builds upon the last, providing additional life-saving tools to help control major bleeding and traumatic hemorrhaging. Whether you are a civilian preparing your home, school, or place of business; or a professional working in the military, law enforcement, or EMS, you can rest easy knowing there is a life-saving kit here for you!

Standard Kit - Our Standard Kit includes all the essentials when it comes to stopping life-threatening bleeding.
-A tourniquet, used to occlude blood flow in both upper & lower extremities.
-Wound packing gauze, used to pack wounds and wrap injuries.
-Emergency Trauma Dressing, used to apply immediate & direct pressure.
-Nitrile Responder Gloves (latex & powder free).
-Trauma Shears to cut through the toughest material.
-Survival blanket to preserve body heat.
-A permanent marker to notate the time tourniquet was applied.
-And lastly, an instruction card to aid in the application of the tourniquet, wound packing gauze, and emergency trauma dressing.

Intermediate Kit - Building upon our Standard Kit, the Intermediate Kit incorporates (2) HyFin® Vent Compact Chest Seals; vented chest seals are used to treat penetrating chest wounds, particularly in patients with entrance and exit wounds (gunshot wounds being a common example). The unique design allows air to escape the chest cavity during exhalation but not make its way back in during inhalation. Each seal is coated with a highly adhesive gel, allowing it to be successfully applied in the presence of blood, sweat, or other bodily fluids.

Premium Kit - The Premium Kit includes all contents from the Standard & Intermediate Kits, with the final addition of either QuikClot Bleeding Control Dressing or NuStat 4x4 Hemostatic Gauze. This hemostatic dressing contains hemostatic agents which accelerate the body’s natural blood-clotting abilities. This allows for faster bleeding control than traditional gauze.

C-A-T Tourniquet - Considered a favorite among law enforcement, the U.S. Army, & first responders alike, this windlass tourniquet has been a staple in bleeding control kits for years and is suitable for serious life-threatening extremity bleeding.

SAM XT Tourniquet - The SAM XT Tourniquet is similar in design to the C-A-T Tourniquet, but with some notable upgrades including an auto-locking buckle.
